Born in Jalandhar, Punjab, on 17 September 1967, Shri. Vinay Goel graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science (Honours) and obtained his LL.B. degree from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, in June 1991. He commenced legal practice as an Advocate at the District Court, Jalandhar, in January 1992 and practised there till April 2013. In April 2013, he was appointed as Presiding Officer of the Debts Recovery Tribunal, Prayagraj (Allahabad). Thereafter, he served as Presiding Officer of Debts Recovery Tribunal-I, Ahmedabad, from November 2017 to August 2021. In August 2021, he was appointed as Member (Judicial) of the Railway Claims Tribunal and served till 11 February 2025. He is presently serving as Member (Judicial), National Company Law Tribunal, Kochi Bench.
