Shri Sanjiv Jain completed his graduation in Civil Engineering in 1982. He joined DDA as an Engineer and worked on a multi-storey building project. He completed his LL.B. from the University of Delhi in 1991 and LL.M. from Kurukshetra University in 1998. He joined the Delhi Judicial Service on 02.11.1992 and was promoted to the Delhi Higher Judicial Service on 04.01.2006. He worked in various capacities as Metropolitan Magistrate, Civil Judge, ACMM, Special Judge (NDPS), Presiding Officer (MACT), Special Judge (CBI), ASJ (SFTC), and Judge (Family Courts). He also worked as Registrar (Judicial) in the Supreme Court of India. He superannuated from the post of District Judge (Commercial) on 31.12.2022.As a Special Judge (CBI), he decided bank fraud and disproportionate assets cases, and a case involving a politician in illegal possession of a helicopter. He also decided narcotics cases, arbitration and commercial matters involving civil contracts, food adulteration matters, and divorce and custody matters, including claims arising out of road accidents.
