Born on 01.01.1965 at Village Bari Anjaniya, Khatima, District Udham Singh Nagar, Uttarakhand, Shri Rammurti Kushawaha completed his primary education at different schools and his High School and Intermediate education from Tharu Government Inter College, Khatima, Udham Singh Nagar. He obtained his B.A. and LL.B. degrees from the University of Lucknow, Lucknow. He was enrolled as an Advocate with the Bar Council of Uttar Pradesh on 01.02.1987 and practised before the District Courts at Udham Singh Nagar and Nainital on both the civil and criminal sides up to 04.05.1998. On 05.05.1998, he joined as Public Prosecutor and, on 18.06.2002, as Senior Public Prosecutor after being selected through the Union Public Service Commission. He served as Public Prosecutor, Senior Public Prosecutor, Deputy Legal Adviser and Additional Legal Adviser in the Central Bureau of Investigation and conducted various important cases across the country before different courts. He was selected and joined as Presiding Officer, Debts Recovery Tribunal, Patna, on 05.01.2015 and served till 04.01.2019. Thereafter, he served as Presiding Officer, Debts Recovery Tribunal, Allahabad, from 21.12.2020 to 20.12.2024 and superannuated from the Central Bureau of Investigation on 31.12.2024. He was subsequently selected and joined as Member (Judicial), National Company Law Tribunal, on 20.01.2025 and is presently serving at the Guwahati Bench.
