Shri Cheekati Radha Krishna completed his B.A. (Hons.) in Political Science from Sri Venkateswara College, the University of Delhi, in 1985. In 1988, he completed his LL.B. from Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh. He started his legal practice before the Hon'ble High Court of Andhra Pradesh and the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India and practised from 1988 to 1997. In 1997, he was appointed as Government Advocate in the Central Agency Section, Department of Legal Affairs, Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India. He appeared and conducted litigation before the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India on behalf of various Central Government Ministries. In 2012, he was appointed as Deputy Legislative Counsel in the Legislative Department, Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India, where he was entrusted with drafting, scrutinising and vetting principal and subordinate legislation for different Administrative Ministries. He also participated in budget-making, imparted legislative training to officers from different States, and functioned as Director in the Railway Board for the Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation for drafting, scrutinising and vetting land acquisition notifications. As Joint Secretary, he headed the work relating to GST notifications during the Budget Session. From September 2024 until joining the Hon'ble National Company Law Tribunal, Kolkata Bench, he practised as an Advocate before the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India. In January 2025, he was appointed as Member (Judicial), National Company Law Tribunal, Kolkata Bench.
