Born and brought up in Allahabad (now Prayagraj), Shri Brajendra Mani Tripathi graduated in Law from the University of Allahabad. He joined the Uttar Pradesh Judicial Service in April 1992. He served as Civil Judge (Junior Division), Civil Judge (Senior Division)/Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate and District Judge in different districts of Uttar Pradesh. He superannuated on 31st October 2023 and was appointed as Registrar (Law) in the Uttarakhand Human Rights Commission, Dehradun, where he served till 28th May 2025. He joined the National Company Law Tribunal on 29th May 2025 and is presently serving as Member (Judicial) at the Indore Bench.
