Shri Radhakrishna Sreepada, an IRS officer of the 1989 batch, holds a Master's Degree in Opto Electronics specializing in Laser Physics, Fibre Optics, and Holography, and a Law degree. He is enrolled with the Bar Council of Telangana High Court. He retired as Chief Commissioner of Income Tax after 34 years of service, dealing with diverse areas including assessments, audit, appellate representation, and tax disputes involving large taxpayers and tax-exempt entities. He headed training establishments at Bengaluru and Chennai, actively upgrading the technical, accounting, and soft skills of Income Tax Department personnel. With experience in handling tax issues relating to Sikkim, he represented the Department before the High Courts of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. He headed the Faceless Units managing assessments and penalties in the Andhra Pradesh Charge, ensuring successful implementation of the Faceless Assessment Scheme. He has authored approximately six articles on taxation and two books published by Bloomsbury India Limited: "Concepts and Law of Prohibition of Benami Transactions" and "Black Money (Undisclosed Foreign Income and Assets) Act, 2015.
