Smt. Kavita Bhatnagar is an officer of the 1988 batch of the Indian Revenue Service (IRS). She retired as Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Surat, Gujarat, after rendering 34 years of service. During her tenure, she worked in the Central Board of Direct Taxes, including the Investigation Wing, where she handled the Voluntary Disclosure of Income Scheme (VDIS), 1997. She has also served in the Appeals, Investigation, and Corporate Charge wings of the Income Tax Department.
