Shri K. K. Singh graduated in Engineering (B.Tech. – Civil) from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, and also obtained a Master's degree in Nuclear Engineering and Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. He joined the Indian Revenue Service in 1986. During his tenure in the Income Tax Department, he served in various positions, conducted several significant search operations and carried out exemplary investigations. On his appointment as Member (Technical), National Company Law Tribunal, he took voluntary retirement from the apex-scale post of Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax and joined the National Company Law Tribunal on 01.10.2021.
